I purchased a well contactor device From the Jim Willis Hardware store on Thursday 6/21/2017 for one of my customers. Long story short we did not end up needing the device I purchased from Jim willis Hardware so I went at my soonest availability to return the $149.99 part on 7/28/2017....When I arrived today I was informed that they have a zero return policy and wouldn't take the part. I understand their policy, though I don't respect it, I understand it/......So we were talking and the owner got loud with me and deliberately told me that "the customer is not always right" and he doesn't believe in this "Entitlement" era. I have no clue what he is talking about with that but I for sure took what he said to heart about the customer part. The owner was by far the most unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful person I have ever done business with....I was more interested in talking with him and sharing my thoughts and he went on and on. He then slammed my device on the counter, crumbled the paperwork and went crazy!....I will never use this Mom and Pop store and I will for sure spread the word about this to every contractor I know! Absolutely horrible business....
If you cannot find it anywhere else, they will have it here. It is a lot more expensive than Lowes or Home Depot, but Jim Willis has so much stuff in their store. Everybody needs to visit this store at least once in their life. It is a neat place.
Always has what I need- not matter how obscure . The last time I was there, the female cashier, whom I'm assuming is the owner's wife, was so excited to see that I brought my 4 and 5 year old sons that she immediately walked from behind the register and said hi to them. Not only that, she played a game of "I Spy" and allowed them to build things out of magnets. It was awesome. I was terrified to go in there with my boys as there is a ton of stuff they'd touch and pick up- but they didn't move a muscle- furthermore, she told me to shop while she watched the kids. I purposely got to this store instead of the much closer "big box" stores because of the fact it's a mom and pop shop and locally owned. Love this place.
If you need any type of fasteners, this is a sure thing, they have everything. Their selection is the best by far, better than anyone else in the state of Florida. Another bonus they have is a random selection of steel and aluminium sheets, bar stock, tubing etc.
aDay before "IRMA" arrived and requested needed supplies. I was treated extremely cordially along with several others in the store at that time. Such is not always the case in other stores in times of need. A "Mom & Pop" operation such as this almost always does. Such is the case in this store, each and every time that I have purchased items there.
