This facility has really stepped up the past few years! I have chronic conditions and unfortunately end up in the hospital approx. every 2-3 months. South Lake Hospital has nearly become my home away from home.
The staff at South Lake in the Womens Center is simply incredible. I delivered my baby on September 6th and from beginning to end all the nurses were professional, warm, kind and accommodating. I couldn't be happier with my delivery experience. Having previously delivered at Winnie Palmer on my first pregnancy, I cam confidently say that my experience at South Lake was FAR SUPERIOR.

They are nice people, I'll start with that. However, they are extremely slow or super shorthanded. Came in with my 5 year old who had a serious allergic reaction. We waited long to go back. Waited long for doctor. Waited long for pharmacy to produce meds. Waited long for discharge papers. You shouldn't give such service to little ones who are already so scared to be in the hospital in the first place.
Great staff. This hospital saved my life, came with a chest pain and come to find I had a heart attack. In less than 4 hours of me arriving they had ran test and operated me. Will be forever greatful!

Their doctors take time and listen. They listen to your questions or concerns and address each of them. The nursing staff is THE BEST! Every time I go I make new friends. Some who have even given their phone numbers so that I can keep in touch after I am discharged and also so they can check on me and answer any questions.
The hospital staff are amazing! Every single time that I have come, whether it be for my kids or husband. They have always attended us in the ER professionally, rapidly and caring. This last visit for my father in law saved his life- he was experiencing chest pain which we found out later was a heart attack. They acted immediately sending to the cordeologist who also attended him right away, the nurses were so great taking the time to explain everything to me, even the house keeping has been so kind to us. I will continue to recommend South Lake Hospital to my family, friends and anyone who asks.
